Please be sure to clearly show your work in the solutions that you submit. Your approach is much more important than obtaining the correct numerical answer.

The answers given below are not complete, but they should be enough for you to check your work.

Problem 5.33: Time constant is 2 s, final capacitor voltage is 8 V.

 

Problem 5.35:  Maximum capacitor voltage is 17.12 V, there are two time constants that are related by a factor of 2.

 

Problem 5.38:  The current is constant for t >= 0 sec (be sure to explain what is happening!).

 

Problem 5.45:  Time constant is (1/100) s, final inductor current is 0.4 A.

 

Problem 5.56:  An important value of the output voltage is 0.6 V.
