  2. Please check your schedule of exams and projects in other courses and compare with the tentative exam dates on the ELEC 226 syllabus.

    The proposed dates are February 22 or 24 and April 5 or 7. Please let me know by Monday, Jan. 31 if the proposed weeks are bad for you, and we will decide in class whether to have the exams on Tuesday or Thursday.

  4. We will have Lab 1 on January 31 and February 2.

  5. Please bring your calculator to class on Tuesday, Feb. 1. We will have a short quiz on complex number arithmetic and solving simultaneous linear equations with complex coefficients.

  6. Please complete the survey of ELEC 225 topics on Blackboard under Assignments by Friday, Jan. 28.

  7. Please solve the following problems and submit solutions in class on Thursday, Jan. 27.
    Chapter 8: Problems 21, 23, 26, and 27.
    Problems 8.21 and 8.23 were optional problems on Prof. Kelley's Homework 8 in ELEC 225. Please use these problems to review the various ac power definitions in Chapter 8. Problems 8.26 and 8.27 are on maximum power transfer with phasors and impedances, and these problems will give you an opportunity to review Thevenin equivalent circuits.
