  1. Reading: In the Ulaby/Maharbiz text, please study Chapter 1 and begin reading Chapter 2, Sections 2-1 through 2-4. Most of this material is a review of ELEC 120, so you should also review your materials from ELEC 120.

  2. Please check your schedule of exams and projects in other courses and compare with the tentative exam dates on the ELEC 225 syllabus. We will finalize the exam dates on Monday, Sep. 3.

  3. Please look at the lab roster posted on the ELEC 225 labs page and let me know if you would like to switch from the Thursday lab section to the Tuesday lab section.

  4. Schedule for the next two weeks (note there is no class on Wed., Aug. 29):

    Thursday, Aug. 23: Meet at 1:30 PM in Dana 305 for a brief pre-course survey.
    Monday, Aug. 27: Class 9:00 - 9:52 AM in BRKI 66.
    Tuesday, Aug. 28: Meet at 1:30 PM in Dana 305 for a brief pre-course survey.
    Wednesday, Aug. 29: No class. (Class will be made up by having exams on Fridays.)
    Thursday, Aug. 30: No lab.
    Monday, Sep. 3: Class 9:00 - 9:52 AM in BRKI 66.
    Tuesday, Sep. 4: No lab.
    Wednesday, Sep. 5: Class 9:00 - 9:52 AM in BRKI 66.

  5. Please browse through the materials on Moodle under Course Materials for circuit analysis and solving linear simultaneous equations with TI-83/84 and TI-89 calculators. You should look through the document now to see the contents, and refer back to them as needed to perform computations in circuit analysis.

  6. Please complete the survey on Moodle titled "Background in matrix math and solving simultaneous equations" by 8 PM on Monday, Aug. 27. You are not expected to be familiar with all of the items on the survey, but I would like to check your background. Completion of the survey will be counted as a short quiz grade.

  7. Please solve the following problems in the textbook and submit solutions in class on Monday, Aug. 27.
    Chapter 1: Problems 15, 17, 20, 23.
