ELEC 225, Fall 2011
Prof. Rich Kozick

Homework 9

Date Assigned: Tuesday, October 25, 2011
Date Due: Monday, October 31, 2011

  1. Reading: In the Ulaby/Maharbiz text, please continue to study Chapter 4, Sections 4-1 through 4-10.

  2. We will not have class on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and there is no lab on Thursday, Oct. 27. Reports for Lab 4 are due in your lab session on Thursday, Nov. 3. The lab reports may be handwritten (or a combination of typed and handwritten), with one report per lab group.

  3. Please solve the following problems in Chapter 4 of the textbook and submit solutions in class on Monday, Oct. 31.
Problems 4.5 and 4.7: Use the op amp equivalent circuit in Figure 4-4 for these two problems.
Problem 4.45: Use the ideal op amp assumptions for this problem. Look for voltage dividers and use node-voltage analysis if needed (but avoid writing KCL at op amp output terminals).
There are no voltage dividers in the circuit! Use node-voltage analysis and write KCL at the nodes vn1 and vn2.
The advice for Problem 4.45 was updated at 3:10 PM on Oct. 28, 2011.
Thank you.
